CONCEPTS


- Equal opportunities: the right to be treated without discrimination, especially on the grounds of one’s sex, race, age, etc.
 
- Sex: refers to a person´s biological status and is tipically categorized as male, female, or intersex.

- Gender:  refers to the attitudes, feelings, and behaviours that a given culture associates with a person´s biological sex.

- Gender stereotypes: consists of beliefs about the psychological traits and characteristics of, as well as the activities appropriate to, men or women.

- Gender discrimination: a situation in which someone is treated less well because of their sex, usually when a woman is treated less well than a man.
