Chères Maman, Père et petite Eleonore:
Bonjour à tous! Comment vous êtes?  Je suis très contente pour être ici. Mon voyage a été bien et je suis allé à l'hôtel facilement. Je suis à Malaga depuis cinq jours et j'ai pu voir beaucoup de choses déjà. Le premièr et seconde jour j'ai visité le centre ville. Il est très beau: le théâtre romain, l'Alcazaba, beaucoup de rues très célèbres, des quartiers... Si quelqu'un me demande: laquelle est la plus belle? France? Espagne?  Je ne peux pas répondre parce que les deux sont très belles! Demain, je vais aller au port parce que tout le monde me dit qu'il est très animé et beau. Je suis en train d'amélioner mon espagnol et je suis en train d'apprendre beaucoup.
J'ai très envie de vous voir. Quand est-ce que vous irez à Málaga? Combien de jours vous serez ici? Comment est la famille? Qu'est-ce que vous avez fait?
J'attends votre répponse et écrivez- moi vite! Je suis impatiente de savoir de vous!

Madame, Monsieur:

Je suis Elena, une fille qui habite à Málaga, au sud d'Espagne. J'étudie dans un lycée qui s'appelle Fernando de los Rios. Je vous écris pour vous demander quelques reseignements, parce que mes amis et moi nous avons pensé aller en France cet été, trois semaines entre juillet et août. Nous avons quince ans.

Nous ne savons pas exactement que'est-ce que nous ferons, mais nous irons à Rhône- Alpes. Nous aimons beaucoup le sport, mais nous voulons aussi voir des monuments et des lieux touristiques. Nous voudrions aussi savoir si c'est mieux de loger dans un hôtel, un auberges, terrains de camping, etc. Je vous prie de m'envoyer des offres et des brochures sur les deux régions si vous pourriez.

SEX/ GENDER

'' No se nace mujer, se llega a serlo.''

Esta frase viene a hacer referencia a la diferencia entre género y sexo. Nacemos con un sexo biológico, pero nos vamos encontrando o creando el nuestro propio a medida que pasa el tiempo, con influencia de la sociedad. 

CONCEPTS

- Equal opportunities: the right to be treated without discrimination, especially on the grounds of one’s sex, race, age, etc.
 
- Sex: refers to a person´s biological status and is tipically categorized as male, female, or intersex.

- Gender:  refers to the attitudes, feelings, and behaviours that a given culture associates with a person´s biological sex.

- Gender stereotypes: consists of beliefs about the psychological traits and characteristics of, as well as the activities appropriate to, men or women.

- Gender discrimination: a situation in which someone is treated less well because of their sex, usually when a woman is treated less well than a man.

THIS IS WHAT A FEMINISM LOOKS LIKE

This video shows us how women must be treat. Both women and men are equal; they should be the same person, they should have the same rights, they are free to do anything they want.

We have to be equal.

 

MARY SHELLEY

Mary Shelley was a famous woman born in London 30th August of 1797 and she died 1st February of 1851. She was an important philosopher, novelist and biographer.

She studied in a private school and when she grew up, she fell in love with Percy Bysshe Shelley. Time passed and after a time, she left the city, although he was married with another woman. They travelled around the world looking for new things, new cultures and new forms to be inspired by anything. Years later, Percy’s wife died and they decided to move again to Sweden. This place inspired her to write her most famous book called Frankenstein.  She moved on again to Italy, where Percy died when he was on the ship because of a storm. She was alone and she dedicated her life to educate her children and to concentrate only in her books. Some years later, she became ill and she died when she was 53; her life was too short.

She was important in our society because of her books. Important people read her books and they took note about them. In this time, women were under-estimated, so they didn’t have importance in the city and it was a good moment to change it. They thought that women could do anything as well as men. This was an important step for women’s right, because it did that some men didn’t think they were the best in the world. In those days, some women wrote books, but they singed with a men’s name because they were afraid of someone killing her or going to prison.

The most famous book of Mary Shelley is Frankenstein. It narrates the story of a man who loved medicine. He was obsessed for human’s body, so he decided to create a monster similar to human.  When he saw it made him to run away; he was afraid. Because of this, Frankenstein thought and he wanted to take revenge for it. Finally, the man died on a ship and the monster said to his friend that he also was going to die.

     

LIVING WITH A DISABILITY

My name's Elena and I've born in New York. I've been paralytic since I was fourteen years old. I was going to school when a car crashed against me. I was in the hospital two months and my father too. He hasn't got any disability, but I'm living in a wheelchair.
Life changed me a lot. I can't move my legs, so it unable me to do a lot of things, such as doing sport  with all my body. My house has been adapted for my disability, like the bathroom. I feel better with myself everyday and I'm happier. My friends haven't changed since then. They are with me and they behaviou the same as before the accident. i did sport, so my parents think that, although I've got the disability, I could do sport too. I'm in a special club for paralytic people, where I met a lot of people and I enjoy a lot. My dream is to participate in the Paralympic Games when I am older, so I hope I can do it. The thing most ennoys me is people laughing at me and they don't know how I really feel... In spite of it, I'm happy because I have people who really love me and who really appreciate me. Now, I know how important life is.
